Our Founder

Shariq Khan is the Founder and Director of Player Development at Axis Tennis, a boutique high-performance academy built around individualized coaching, long-term planning, and founder-led standards.

With a background in business and years of experience across elite tennis environments, Shariq has coached and studied within some of the sport’s most respected development systems, including IMG, USTA, and leading training hubs throughout Europe. His experience includes a long history of working alongside some of the world’s most respected coaches, as well as elite players across the ATP, WTA, junior, and college pathways

At Axis, Shariq has built more than a training program — he has created a serious development culture. Axis has become a training base for elite juniors, college players, top-ranked ATP and WTA professionals, and accomplished coaches, creating an environment where ambitious players are surrounded by high standards every day.​​

Axis players have progressed to leading universities, with a special focus on Ivy League programs and other elite academic institutions, as well as international junior and professional competition. The academy’s development model connects daily training, tournament scheduling, recruiting strategy, and long-term goals into one clear pathway for serious players and families.
